Let's put some rumors to rest. Balrog will not be released in 2004. However he will be available in 2005. Working out the engineering and production issues is taking more time than we anticipated.
As I have said before we want to make this the best toy possible without it costing a small fortune. It takes time to do that and in just about a week you will get your first look at him. The next issue of Tomart's Action Figure Digest Issue #124 will feature a cover story on the making of Balrog. We will show you this cover next week on www.necaonline.com

Gandalf is coming along very well and the prototype should be complete by mid July. At this point Balrog may come after Gandalf and then comes the Ringwraith all for 2005!

The delay in it is good news to me as I was getting cost heavy the end of the year with some other lines (like Star Wars).

i never really was into the lotr figures until these 20"'s came out...now this...i am really liking what neca has been doing lately....anyone else agree?

I too am glad for the delay. Simply because of all the money I'm spending this year on toys.
